Seasional Variation of Moisture In Wall and Roof Sections Exposed To Natural Weather Conditions

This paper presents the results of in situ measurements of monthly average moisture contents in three wall sections and flat roof section exposed to natural weather conditions over a period of two years at Roorkee, northen India. A plug in type of core method has been employed for the determination of moisture levels of the test sections. It has been observed that the percentage moisture in all the test sections closely follow the definite pattern of the seasons with a time lag of about one month.
